Description

This is a terrace of eight former almshouses, now houses, built in 1822 and endowed by John Baker of Oxford. The structure is made of squared uncoursed limestone with ironstone dressings and features a slate roof along with stone and brick chimneys. It has two storeys and consists of nine bays, highlighted by a pedimented centerpiece and a keystoned arch above which is a plaque displaying the date and inscription. The doorways are adorned with stone pediments and feature six-panelled doors. The windows are wooden three-light casements set beneath flat heads with keystones.
