Description

FAWSLEY SP55NE 5/78 Fawsley Farmhouse 18/01/68 (Formerly listed as The Vicarage) - II Farmhouse, formerly vicarage. C18 with early C19 alterations. Dressed ironstone, old tile roof, brick end stacks. L-plan. Principal front to garden of 2 storeys with attic; 3-window range. Central 6-panel door with overlight in C19 timber gabled porch with bargeboards, flanked by tripartite sash windows, 12-pane to middle, 4-pane to sides. First floor windows have 16-pane sashes. All windows have stone sills and stone lintels with keyblocks, rendered. Plinth, quoins, storey band, 3 hipped roof dormers with 6-pane horned sashes, and stone coped gables with kneelers. Left side elevation with 6-panel door with overlight in similar porch. To left of gable end, a 5-window range with similar sash windows and dormers. Interior: stone-flagged floors, boxed spine beams, C19 staircase.
