Description
Church Farm, Gardener's Cottage is an early 18th-century cottage built from coursed squared ironstone with an old tile roof and a stone ridge stack. The building is designed in an L-plan and has one storey with an attic, featuring a two-window range. The front, facing the forecourt, has a blocked central door flanked by two 20th-century casement windows. The door and windows are adorned with stone lintels and keyblocks. The cottage has a plinth, quoins, and a hipped roof. There is an entrance at the rear and a projecting one-bay wing that includes a stone-coped gable with kneelers and one hipped dormer. The interior has not been inspected. This cottage is part of a formal composition with Church Farmhouse and the attached walls.
