Description
Bridge number 12 on the Grand Union Canal at Long Buckby Wharf is an early 19th-century structure made of cast iron, brick, and stone. It features cambered cast-iron beams supported by stone, with brick piers and parapets. The approaches have coped stone piers, and there are three iron ties connecting the beams. Underneath, the bridge has four shallow brick barrel vaults. Additionally, there are iron posts at each angle of the pier on the towpath side.
