Description
Bridge number 10 on the Grand Union Canal, located in Norton, was built between 1793 and 1800 and is classified as an accommodation bridge. It features a standard design, likely created by the engineer William Jessop. The bridge has a single elliptical arch, a band, and a slightly cambered solid parapet with solid piers. The parapet is topped with saddleback brick coping, and the arch is protected by two iron rope fenders. There have been slight alterations made to the bridge in the 20th century.
