Description

Park House is a house dating from around 1800, located near Long Buckby Wharf. The house is constructed of brick which is hidden beneath a pebbledash rendering. It has a slate hipped roof with a rendered stack at the ridge. The front of the house is two storeys high, while the sides are three storeys. It has a three-window front. The windows are 16-pane sash windows, with painted sills, on both the ground and first floors. The front door is made of six-panelled wood and has a contemporary fanlight above it, set within a moulded wood surround with panelled reveals. An open porch with two Doric columns and responds to the wall is topped by an entablature. The central bay, which projects slightly, and the two adjoining bays have storey bands marking the ground and first floors, while wide pilaster strips define the corners. A moulded and painted cornice runs along the top. A rendered plinth sits at the base of the building.
