Description
Church Farm's malthouse, located approximately 6 meters west, is an outbuilding dating from the early 18th century, with a roof that was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone and features a slate roof with a brick end stack. The building has a one-unit plan and is a single storey with a one-window range. The doorway at the gable end has a moulded stone head, likely from the 17th century, and features a plank door. Above this doorway, there is a 4-light casement window with a timber lintel, flanked by medieval carved stone heads. A datestone in the gable reads R/BA/1715. To the left side, there is a 2-light mullion window. Inside, there is an open fireplace with a bar-stop-chamfered bressumer. This building is included for its group value.
