Description
Pansion Row in Woodleigh consists of a pair of cottages that were originally part of a row of four, built in the mid-19th century. The cottages are constructed from coursed squared ironstone and brick, topped with a slate roof and featuring paired brick ridge stacks that are set diagonally. The buildings are two storeys high and have eight bays of giant blank arcading made from moulded brick, which includes Tudor arched heads. The arcading is rendered on the inside and decorated with broken bottles, china, clinker, oyster shells, and other materials. The two central bays and the outer right bay have doors that feature Gothick panelling. The windows on the ground and first floors are designed with four-centred moulded brick arches, fitted with iron small-pane frames that have pointed heads and a central panel that opens. The outer and middle bays have narrower blank windows on the first floor. The rear of the cottages is made of ironstone. The interior has not been inspected.
