Description

The Hovel is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a slate roof and has brick stacks at either end. The building has a one-unit plan and is two stories high with a single window range. There is a 20th-century part-glazed door on the right, which features a pilastered wooden surround and a straight hood. On the ground floor, there is a tripartite sash window with a flat-arched head, while the first floor has a 16-pane sash window with a similar flat-arched head. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included for its group value.
