Description

The Olde Wheatsheaf is a house, formerly an inn, dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations made in the 20th century. It is constructed of coursed squared ironstone with a ridged tile roof and a brick ridge stack. The building has an L-shaped layout. It is two storeys high with a two-window front. A large carriage arch is located on the right-hand side, featuring a depressed arched head. The ground and first floors contain 20th-century windows with stone lintels and keyblocks. A wing extends to the rear left, incorporating similar windows. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list because of its group value.
