Description

Prospect House is an early 19th-century house, likely with origins dating back to the 16th or 17th centuries. The house is constructed of white-painted and stuccoed brick, with a Welsh slate roof and brick end stacks. It is a two-story building with a three-window front, featuring 10-pane sash windows with brick cambered heads. A storeyband runs across the front, and there is an unhorned sash window on the ground floor. The central doorway has a stucco architrave and a deep flat hood with a panelled soffit, supported by large cut brackets. The door is a four-panel design, partially glazed. A two-story extension and a single-story painted rubble stone extension are located at the rear. Two flat-roofed dormers are also present. The rear wall reveals evidence of an earlier house having been raised a storey during a 19th-century rebuilding. The interior has not been inspected.
