Description
Manor House is a house that was formerly a farmhouse, dating from the mid-18th century, with possible older origins and alterations from the 19th and 20th centuries. It is constructed from coursed squared ironstone and features a hipped slate roof with stone and brick ridge stacks. The building is designed in an L-shape and is two stories tall with a five-window range. The main front faces the garden to the south and includes a central panelled part-glazed door that is framed by a pedimented moulded wood surround. There are 12-pane sash windows on both the ground and first floors, which have rendered heads and keyblocks. The house also has a plinth and a storey band. At the rear right, there is a wing that has been significantly altered in the 19th century, featuring a stone porch and irregular glazing. Inside, the house is noted for its open well staircase with slim turned balusters.
