Description

Croughton House is an early 19th-century house built of limestone ashlar with an artificial stone slate roof. The main part of the house is two storeys high with three bays. The front has a wooden doorcase featuring panelled pilasters and a pediment with dentil mouldings supported by brackets. The doorway is above a fanlight and has a six-panel door, flanked by segment-headed sash windows with side lights. All windows on the first floor are 16-pane sash windows. The roof is hipped. A rear wing is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with wood casement windows.
