Description

This outbuilding, formerly the stables of Great Houghton Hall, dates from the 18th century. It is constructed of ashlar stone and features a Welsh slated roof with a stone cornice. The building has two storeys and includes sill bands. There are five windows, each with triple keystones, and most are sashes with glazing bars, except for a modern casement located on the left side of the first floor. To the right of the central elliptical arch, which has a plain archivolt, imposts, and a keystone, there is a stone mounting block.
