Description
This is a chest tomb dating from the 18th century, located approximately 7 metres south of the southeast corner of the south aisle of the Church of St. James in Newbottle. The tomb is made of ironstone and features panelled sides with angle balusters. There is a fragmentary inscription that reads, "To the memory of Elizabeth .... daughter of .... Gibberd ..... 17 .... in the 12 year of her .....".
