Description
Christacorn House is a mid-18th century house constructed of coursed squared limestone, featuring a plain-tile roof from the 20th century and stone end stacks. The building has a central staircase plan with two units, standing two storeys tall with an attic and a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panel double-leaf door with an overlight and a straight hood supported by brackets. On the ground and first floors, there are two-light casement windows on either side of the door, each with stop-chamfered wood lintels. Above the door, there is a 20-pane sash window with a stop-chamfered lintel. The house has an ironstone plinth, quoins, and stone-coped gables with kneelers. There are single-storey extensions on both the left and right sides. This building was formerly known as the public house 'The Royal Oak'. The interior has not been inspected.
