Description
Orchard Farmhouse is a farmhouse dated 1807, although it likely has origins mainly in the 18th century. It is constructed from coursed squared ironstone and features a slate roof with brick end stacks. The building has a two-unit plan, is two storeys tall with an attic, and has a three-window range. The central entrance consists of a six-panel door with an overlight and a timber lintel, with a two-light casement window above. There are three-light casement windows on both the left and right sides on the ground and first floors, all featuring timber lintels. The farmhouse has quoins and stone-coped gables with kneelers. A datestone on the left gable is inscribed with R/WO/1807. There is a painted brick, two-window addition to the right and a single-storey lean-to extension at the rear. The interior has not been inspected.
