Description

Holly Cottage is an 18th-century house constructed with coursed ironstone rubble on the ground floor and rendered cob above. The gables and stacks are made of red brick, and the roof is covered with sheet material. The house has a two-unit plan with end stacks. On the ground floor, there are 20th-century casement windows flanking the door, and two 20th-century casements are located on the first floor, with garrets in each gable. Inside, there is a large bressumer beam over the fireplace in the right-hand room, and some original rafters are still visible. The cob material is now exposed in a gap on the front elevation.
