Description

No. 22 Mill Lane is a cottage that was formerly divided into two separate units. It dates from the 18th century and has undergone alterations in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of coursed squared ironstone and features a reed thatch roof with brick stacks at each end. It has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys tall, with a four-window range. There are 20th-century doors located at both the far left and far right, set within a 20th-century porch. The ground floor has three-light casement windows, while the first floor features two-light leaded casements, all with wooden lintels. The cottage also has quoins and stone-coped gables with kneelers. Inside, there is an ogee-stop-chamfered spine beam and a collar-truss roof.
