Description
49 Moored Road is a cottage dating from the late 17th century to early 19th century, with 19th-century alterations. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble, painted, and features a thatched roof with brick end stacks. The building is two stories high and has a two-window range with a two-unit plan. There is a blocked door to the right of the center, which has a wooden lintel. To the ground floor right, there is a three-light casement window, while the other windows on the ground and first floors are two-light casements, all featuring wooden lintels. The ground floor windows have stop-chamfered details. To the left, there is a two-story 19th-century extension that includes a part-glazed plank door with a segmental-arched brick head and a gabled timber porch with trellis sides. Inside, the cottage has ogee-stop-chamfered spine beams and a blocked inglenook.
