Description

Nos. 22 and 23 on Market Square, located on the east side, are buildings dating from 1677 that have been carefully repaired and restored, with some parts reconstructed in facsimile. The ground floor features a modern shop front, while the first floor is finished with plaster facing. The windows are casement style, set within eared architrave surrounds that are linked by decorative swags and paterae. The buildings have a hipped roof covered with Welsh slate. This listing also includes No. 1 Abington Street.
