Description
Moulton Grange is a country house that dates from the late 18th century to the early 20th century. It is constructed from stuccoed lias and features a slate roof. The building has a complex plan and stands two storeys tall.
The garden front, which is believed to have been created around 1825, has a five-window range of sash windows with glazing bars, all framed by moulded stucco architraves. There is a central glazed door with a similar surround. A parapet with an open balustrade was added in the late 19th century. To the left, there is a two-window range in a similar style that likely dates from the late 18th century. To the right, a two-window range that breaks forward is probably from the late 19th or early 20th century. The house features brick stacks at the ridge and ends.
The entrance front retains a porch with pairs of columns from around 1825, topped with a shallow gable. Originally, the house was an 18th-century farmhouse.
