Description

Wesley House is an early 18th-century house located in Chaucobe Wesley Place. The building is constructed of coursed limestone and ironstone rubble, with a corrugated asbestos tile roof and brick stacks. It is two storeys and an attic in height, with two bays. The central doorway has a wood lintel and plank door, flanked by three-light wood casement windows with wood lintels. The first floor has two-light windows with wood lintels, and there are 20th-century wood casements. To the right is a 17th and 18th-century extension, also constructed of coursed limestone and ironstone rubble with an asbestos tile roof. This extension comprises one bay and has two-light casement windows with wood lintels on both floors, alongside a blocked window with a wood lintel on the ground floor. The interior features open fireplaces and a bread oven.
