Description
Cliff Hill Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid-17th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone and ironstone, with limestone banded with ironstone. The roof is covered with 20th-century concrete tiles, and there are brick stacks at the ridge and ends. The building has a three-unit plan and is two stories tall, featuring a four-window range. The front has a central canted bay window with a 16-pane sash, flanked by 8-pane sashes on the sides. There are also two-light casement windows on the ground floor to the left and on the first floor, all with wood lintels. To the right on the ground floor, there is a three-light casement window, also with a wood lintel. The eaves are cogged brick, and the entrance is located at the rear. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
