Description

This barn, located at the north end of the village on the east side of the road, dates back to 1633 and features 19th-century alterations. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone, banded with ironstone, and has a slate roof. The barn has three bays and includes double opposed doors with wooden lintels, although the door at the rear is partially blocked. There are ventilation slits in the left bay, at the rear gable end, and three in the front gable end, with the lower two being blocked. All openings have stone lintels at the front and wooden lintels at the back. The front gable facing the road is stone-coped and features kneelers. Inside, there are tie and collar beams supporting the principal rafters.
