Description

This listing describes a row of three houses, dating from the early 18th century and early 20th century, located on the east side of the A6003 in Rockingham. The buildings are constructed from squared coursed ironstone and limestone, topped with a combination of 20th-century plain tile and Collyweston slate roofs. Each house originally featured one- and two-unit plans and is a single storey with an attic.

The row presents a five-window range of leaded casements set beneath wooden lintels, although No. 4 has one concrete lintel. The houses have 20th-century casements and half dormers in the attic. Plank and panelled doors, also under wooden lintels, are positioned between the windows. The eaves are at different heights, and there are brick stacks at the ridge and ends. The eaves level was raised in the early 20th century.

Attached to the right is a small barn with a Collyweston slate roof, which is connected to No. 4 by a covered entry. There are 20th-century extensions at the rear of the houses. The interiors have not been inspected. The buildings are included for their group value.
