Description
Hatfield Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the mid to late 17th century and the 19th century. It is built of squared coursed limestone and has a Collyweston slate roof. The original layout was a two-unit plan, and the building stands two storeys high with an attic. The façade features a two-window range of three-light stone mullion windows with hood moulds. A central 20th-century four-panel, part-glazed door is set under a stone lintel. There are two wooden gabled roof dormers, and the gable ends have ashlar parapets and ashlar stacks with moulded cornices. The right gable has a slightly projecting stack. Attached to the right is a 19th-century single-storey outbuilding, which has a plank door on the far left, also under a stone lintel with a keyblock. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have spine beams.
