Description
26 and 27 Main Street are two houses built in the early 19th century for Thomas Belsey. They are constructed from squared coursed limestone and topped with a Collyweston slate roof. The original design features a two-unit terrace plan that forms a T-shape range. The buildings are two storeys high and have a two-window arrangement of 19th-century casements, some of which are leaded, set under flat stone arches. There are plank doors with original latches located at the far left and right, also beneath flat stone arches. The hipped roof includes a central brick chimney stack. A rear wing has some 20th-century windows and a hipped roof that runs parallel to the main range. The interiors have not been inspected.
