Description
Nos. 21 and 23 on Main Street are two houses that were originally three, built in the early 19th century for Thomas Belsey. They are constructed from squared coursed limestone and feature a Collyweston slate roof. The buildings have a two-storey design with a four-window range on the first floor and a six-window range on the ground floor. Most of the windows are cast iron casements with diamond panes, while there are three wooden casements with glazing bars on the ground floor, all set under flat stone arches. There are also two 20th-century plank doors, located between the window ranges and also under flat stone arches. The hipped roof has brick stacks at the ridge, and there are two gabled rear wings that project at right angles. The interiors have not been inspected.
