Description
The walls located approximately 50 meters north, south, and east of the Museum Tower at Finedon Hall are listed as Grade II. These walls may date back to the 19th century, with most of them constructed in the mid-19th century for William Mackworth-Dolben. They are made of squared coursed ironstone and feature two and three-stage buttresses along with parts of castellated parapets. There are two small and one large arched openings on the north range that abut Mackworth Drive, and a central arched opening with gabled finials on the south range. Additionally, there are fragments of reused carved masonry in the north range. These walls originally served as the kitchen garden walls for Finedon Hall.
