Description
No. 3 and the barn adjoining No. 3 is a house and barn that have been combined into one dwelling. The building dates from the 17th and 18th centuries and is constructed of regularly coursed limestone, topped with a roof of concrete tiles and thatch. The house originally had a two-unit plan and is two storeys high. It features a one-window range on the first floor and two windows on the ground floor, all of which are leaded casements set under wooden lintels. There is a central 20th-century door also under a wooden lintel, with brick stacks at the ridge and end of the house. The attached barn on the left is 17th-century in origin and has an L-shape with a thatched roof. It includes a central cart entrance flanked by two buttresses, which now has a 20th-century door and windows. The ground floor of the barn has a two-window range of 20th-century casements. The barn features ashlar gable parapets and kneelers and is now part of the house. The interior has not been inspected.
