Description
Elms Farmhouse is an early 19th-century farmhouse located on Church Street in Warhington. It is built from squared coursed limestone and features a Collyweston slate roof. The building has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys tall, with part of it having an attic. The main front displays a three-window range of unhorned sash windows, which are set under gauged stone heads and have ashlar dressings. The central entrance consists of a six-panelled door with glazed toplights, framed by a similar surround and topped with a convex, hipped hood. There are two hipped eaves dormers that contain casement windows. The gable ends are adorned with ashlar parapets, and there are rendered brick stacks at both ends. The rear wing features a catslide roof and includes some 19th-century casement windows set under wooden lintels. The interior has not been inspected.
