Description
The building is a pigeoncote, coach house, and stable dating from the mid-18th century, with alterations from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and brick, featuring stone dressings and a stone slate roof. The structure has stone coped gables and a square wooden glover. It is two stories high and has four bays, arranged in an L-shape.
On the east side, there is an off-centre basket arched carriage entrance with double doors. To the left of this entrance, there is a close boarded door with a stone flat arch, flanked by single casements with wooden lintels. To the right, there is another doorway followed by a two-light casement. Further right, there is a door with a large overlight, leading to a single storey gabled addition that has a door and a single casement. Above this section, there are three two-light glazing bar casements.
The rear of the building features a central door, with an altered opening to the right containing a three-light casement, and a smaller casement beyond that. Above, to the left, there are two double casements and a loft door to the right.
Inside the pigeoncote, there are nest boxes around three sides, along with stone shelves and brick uprights. The stable includes a fitted tack room and has a double purlin roof with chamfered beams and tie-beam trusses.
