Description
The stable block and barn located to the west of Number 16, including the linking wall and gate piers, is an L-shaped single-storey building dating from the 18th century. It features gabled stone slate roofs, with one wing extending along the road and the other wing running south from the west end. There is a three-light mullioned window in the east end of the road wing. A wall connects the north-west corner of the house to the east end of the stables, featuring a large gateway flanked by two impressive piers topped with entablatures and ball finials. This structure is included as part of a group with other nearby buildings, specifically Nos 2 to 36 (even) and 42 to 46A (even) and 52 to 98 (even).
