Description
Manor Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the 17th century and mid 19th century. It is constructed from regular coursed limestone with ashlar dressings and has a slate and pantile roof. The building has an L-shape plan and is two storeys high. The plain front features a three-window range of sashes beneath shallow stone arches. The central part-glazed door has a similar ashlar surround and is flanked by 19th-century canted stone bay windows. The hipped roof is topped with yellow brick stacks at the eaves. The rear wing is likely from the 17th century and includes two and three-light stone mullion windows and ashlar gable parapets. There is also a single-storey wing attached to the rear, which has a small single-light arch head opening with a moulded stone surround in the gable end. The interior has not been inspected, but it is noted to have a mid 19th-century staircase with a chamfered stick balustrade.
