Description
63 Station Road is a house dating from the 17th and 19th centuries. It is built of squared coursed limestone and features roofs made of Collyweston slate and pantiles. The original layout was a two-unit plan with a through-passage. The house is a single storey with an attic and has a three-window range. The ground floor windows are 19th-century casements set under wooden lintels. The window on the far right was originally a door and is now partially bricked up. There is a similar casement window to the left of the centre, positioned under the eaves. The house has two gabled eaves dormers, each with horizontal sliding sash windows and plastered gables and cheeks. To the left of centre, there is a six-panelled door with glazed top-lights, also under a wooden lintel. The gable features an ashlar parapet with a roll finial on the right side, and there are brick and stone stacks at the ridge and end of the building. Attached to the right is a 19th-century lean-to with a pantile roof. The interior has not been inspected, but it likely contains remnants of an open fireplace.
