Description
61 Station Road is a house located on the west side of Station Road in Nassington. It dates from the early 17th century, with 19th and 20th-century alterations. The building is constructed from squared coursed limestone and features roofs made of Welsh and artificial slate. It has a two-unit plan and is a single storey with an attic. The façade includes a two-window range of 19th-century casement windows set under wooden lintels. There is a central dormer with a 19th-century casement window and a central plank door with a glazed panel, also under a wooden lintel. Beam ends are visible above the lintels, and there are brick and stone stacks at each end of the house. A 19th-century lean-to is attached to the left gable, which has an artificial slate roof, and there is a 20th-century extension at the rear. Although the interior was not inspected, it is noted to have an open fireplace with a bressumer. The building is included for its group value.
