Description

WEEKLEY SP88SE BOUGHTON PARK 1337-0/5/213 Boundary wall to north of Boughton Park, fronting road GV II Wall, incorporating gatepiers and deer leap. Probably early C18, repaired. Coursed limestone rubble and brick. Stone part of wall has tall rounded coping, brick part is buttressed. Pair of gatepiers on line of former avenue, rusticated, with cornice and ogee caps, linked by plain wooden fence and gate. Plain square gatepiers and wooden gate to north drive. South-east of this has an indentation in the wall, believed to be a deer leap.
