Description
This description is for a pair of chest tombs located approximately 10 meters north of the chancel of the Church of St. Mary. One of the tombs likely dates from the 17th century and features dates of 1785, 1799, and 1809, while the other tomb is dated 1800. Both tombs are made of limestone ashlar. The 17th-century chest tomb, situated to the south, has a plain slab with an inscribed skull and crossbones on each side, along with inscriptions on the two long sides dedicated to members of the Wyles family. The tomb to the north includes an inscription for Thomas Soden, who died in 1800, and his wife.
