Description

This building consists of a stable, coachhouse, and attached house, located approximately 75 meters west of Stoke Albany House. It was likely constructed around 1835 for the Humphrey family of Stoke Albany House and has undergone later modifications. The structure is made of brick and features a slate roof, designed in an irregular L-shape and in the Regency style.

It is two storeys high with a main front that has five bays. A central semi-circular carriage arch, surrounded by brick, extends through the first floor. There are a pair of 20th-century double doors at the rear of the carriageway. Flanking the carriage arch on the ground floor are two lunettes, while the first floor features roundels. The central pediment also includes a roundel, and there is a raised brick string course between the floors. The roof is hipped.

The rear elevation has a projecting wing to the right, which was originally the groom's house, likely built in the mid-19th century. There is a stable door to the left and a 20th-century lean-to extension. Inside, the stable retains loose boxes and a panelled tack room. This building is included for its group value with the nearby Stoke Albany House.
