Description
No. 1 Langton Place is a house dating from 1688. It is constructed of regularly coursed limestone and ironstone, topped with a slate roof. The original layout was a two-unit plan, and the house is a single storey with an attic. The front features a two-window range of casements with glazing bars, all under wooden lintels. There is a central 20th-century door, also beneath a wooden lintel. To the left, there is a gabled stone dormer. The house has ashlar gable parapets and brick stacks at either end. To the right, there are two three-light stone-mullion windows with a datestone above. There are 18th and 19th-century single-storey extensions to both the left and right. The interior has not been inspected but is noted to have ceiling beams.
