Description

The outbuildings and attached dovecote, located approximately 10 meters northwest of Collyweston House, consist of stables, a coachhouse, and a dovecote. These structures likely date from the late 17th century, with most features from the mid-18th century. They are built from squared coursed limestone and topped with a Collyweston slate roof. Originally, the buildings served as stables for two horses, a coachhouse with a hayloft above, and an attached rectangular dovecote.

The outbuildings now include a garage with 20th-century doors and a plank door to the left. There is one leaded casement window on the first floor to the left and an eaves dormer to the right. The left gable features ashlar parapets and a sash window beneath a stone lintel with a keyblock. The rear elevation has 20th-century windows and another eaves dormer. The dovecote, which is attached to the right of the main front, has a central glover with a pyramid roof.

Inside, some of the original roof structure remains, and evidence in the gable end suggests that the roof was raised, likely from thatch in the 18th century. The dovecote has nesting boxes, although it was not inspected in detail.
