Description
This is a late 18th and 19th century house on Church Street, Easton on the Hill. Constructed from squared coursed limestone, it originally comprised a single unit. The house is single-storied with an attic. The front elevation has a one-window range, featuring a combined 20th century casement and a part-glazed door set beneath a timber lintel. A Lincolnshire eaves dormer window lights the attic, featuring a 19th century casement. The roof is of Collyweston slate, with a stone stack at one end. The right gable displays three 19th and 20th century casement windows. A rear wing, now colourwashed, is likely from the 19th century and has a two-window range of 19th century casement windows, set under a shallow brick arch and a timber lintel, along with a central part-glazed door also under a timber lintel. An eaves dormer with a 20th century casement sits to the left. Inside, a room at the front contains a large open fireplace with a narrow bressumer, which may have been reset. The building is included on the register for its group value.
