Description

The terrace walls, located approximately 30 meters south of the south front of Deene Hall, date from the mid-19th century and were constructed for the Seventh Earl of Cardigan. Made of limestone ashlar, these low retaining walls enclose three sides of the terrace and feature polygonal castellated bastions at the corners. The walls are included for their group value, as the gardens of Deene Hall are recognized at Grade II in the Historic England Register of Parks and Gardens of Special Historic Interest in England.
