Description
Squires' Farmhouse is a farmhouse range built in the early to mid 18th century, with some alterations from the 19th century. It is constructed from squared, coursed ironstone and brick, featuring limestone dressings, and has roofs made of plain tiles and corrugated asbestos. The building has coped gables and includes a double coped stone ridge stack, along with two gable stacks and a single brick ridge stack.
The farmhouse is two storeys high and has three bays, forming an L-plan. The street-facing side has 20th-century double and triple casement windows, and to the right, there is a blocked door. Above these, there are three 6/6 sash windows. On the west side, there is a gabled wing on the left, with a glazing bar fixed light to the right and an 8/8 sash window above it. Further to the right, there is an off-centre close boarded door flanked by single tripartite sashes, all featuring wooden lintels. Above this section, there are five smaller 6/6 sash windows. The rear elevations include a continuous lean-to glazed porch.
