Description
The south wing of the Nags Head Public House is a public house built in the late 18th century, with alterations made in the 19th century. It is constructed from regularly coursed limestone and features a slate roof. Originally designed with a three-unit plan, the building stands three storeys tall and has a three-window range of 20th-century casements with glazing bars set in original openings, all beneath gauged stone arches. To the left of the center is a six-panelled door topped with a flat wood hood. The exterior includes three 19th-century canted bays with stone bases, ashlar gable parapets, and brick stacks at the ridge and end. An additional three-window range attached to the left is from the late 19th century and is not considered of special architectural interest. The interior has not been inspected.
