Description

This is a four-house building, now combined into a single dwelling, located on High Street, Wollaston. The structure dates to the early 18th century. It is constructed of regular coursed limestone, with some areas rendered, and originally had a thatched roof. The building’s original layout consisted of two- and three-unit plans, resulting in a six-window facade. The windows are leaded casements, some of which have been renewed, and are topped with wooden lintels. A central four-panelled door is present, alongside a 20th-century door and porch on the right side. Brick stacks are visible at the ridge and end of the building. The rear elevation is similar in appearance. The interior, which has not been formally inspected, features an open fireplace with a bressumer. This building is recognised for its group value within the historic streetscape.
