Description
Numbers 4 (Moat Cottage), 8, and 10 (Bell Green) are three houses built in the late 17th century and early 18th century. They are constructed from regularly coursed limestone, which is now painted, and feature thatch and concrete tile roofs. Each house originally had a two-unit plan. Numbers 4 and 6 are single storey with an attic, while Number 10 is two storeys tall, creating a six-window range across the front.
Numbers 4 and 6 have 20th-century casement windows in their original openings, which are topped with wood lintels and feature eyebrow dormers. Number 10 has leaded casements under wood lintels, some of which retain original glass. There are 20th-century doors located between the windows, with Number 10 having a linked window and door, all under wood lintels. The houses have brick and stone stacks at the ridge and ends. Number 4 has a thatched extension attached to the right side.
The interior of Number 6 includes an open fireplace and a dog-leg stair, while Number 10 features ceiling beams.
