Description
Number 2 and the attached entrance to Number 4 is a house that likely dates from the late 17th century and late 18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and features a Collyweston slate roof. The building originally had a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high with an attic. The front has a two-window range of 19th-century sashes with glazing bars on the first floor and casements on the ground floor, all with plain stone surrounds. A central 19th-century panelled door is located under a gabled hood. To the far left, there is a plank door providing access to Number 4, which features a 17th-century moulded stone surround with a four-centred head. The building also has a pair of hipped roof dormers, ashlar gable parapets, and brick and stone stacks, partly made of ashlar, at both ends. The interior has not been inspected but is noted to have ceiling beams.
