Description
The summerhouse, located 70 meters south of Loddington House, was built in 1851 and is designed in the Gothic revival style. It is constructed from coursed and squared ironstone and features a pyramidal slate roof. The building has a plinth and a single external side wall stack on the southwest, which is marked with the datestone of 1851. The summerhouse has an octagonal plan, with a porch on the north side that includes a segmental pointed doorway and a coped gable adorned with a rosette. Flanking the porch are two segmental pointed Gothic windows with Y-tracery, and there is a similar window on the southeast side. Inside, there is a Gothic arched fireplace with a basket grate. This summerhouse is included for its group value with Loddington House.
